BREAKING NEWS: COMING 2027!
Savannah Native Danny Kramer Signs Major Publishing Agreement with Post Hill Press, Distributed by Simon & Schuster
A Boyhood Promise Made More Than 50 Years Ago Becomes "Boys of Bonaventure"
SAVANNAH, GA — Savannah native Danny Kramer, after six years of research, interviews, and storytelling, has signed a major publishing agreement with Post Hill Press, with distribution by Simon & Schuster, for the release of Boys of Bonaventure. The heartfelt nonfiction memoir chronicles a true story of lifelong friendship, faith, imagination, and the secret brotherhood formed by three boys growing up in the shadow of one of America’s most legendary cemeteries.
In 1966, long before John Berendt's Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil captivated millions of readers and introduced the world to Savannah's mystery and intrigue, three young boys quietly slipped through the gates of Bonaventure Cemetery after midnight in search of ghostly legends, daring adventures, and the unforgettable magic of childhood.
Post Hill Press is tentatively planning to release Boys of Bonaventure in October 2027, just weeks before Halloween—a fitting season for a story woven with mystery, daring exploits, and the enduring legends surrounding Savannah's historic Bonaventure Cemetery.
The memoir fulfills a promise Kramer made to his childhood friend, Billy Lynn, more than five decades ago—to one day tell the untold stories of the secret brotherhood they shared, the hidden places they discovered, and the unforgettable journeys they experienced after midnight while the rest of Savannah slept.
"It is more than a memoir," Kramer said. "It is a tribute to friendship, imagination, and those unforgettable moments that remind us the boy inside each of us never truly grows up."
Additional announcements regarding book signings, special events, and national promotional appearances are expected in the months ahead, leading up to the projected October 2027 launch.
